Glebs Panteļejevs

Glebs Panteļejevs is a Professor and Head of the Sculpture Department at the Latvian Academy of Arts, where he has taught since 1992. A sculptor with over 30 years of professional experience, he specializes in monumental public art and environmental design. His acclaimed works include the 'Black Threshold' memorial at the former KGB building in Riga and the monument to Colonel Oskars Kalpaks.

His research spans contemporary sculpture, public space interventions, and monumental art, with a focus on integrating historical narratives into urban environments. Panteļejevs has exhibited globally, including solo shows in Riga, Vancouver, and St. Petersburg.
