Gleb Panteļejevs is a Professor at the Latvian Academy of Arts (Sculpture Department), born in 1965 in Riga. He graduated in 1991 from the Sculpture Department of the academy and resides in Jūrmala, Latvia. His work focuses on public art, sculpture, and memorial design, often collaborating with architects like Andris Veidemanis and Eric Cerpins.
Key achievements include the Monument to Colonel Oskar Kalpaks (Riga, 2006), the Black Threshold memorial to communist victims (Riga, 2003), and the Teleport monument to Duke Jacob Kettler (Kuldīga, 2013). He has participated in over 30 international exhibitions and competitions, including the Sapporo International Sculpture Symposium (Japan, 2003) and the Riga International Sculpture Quadrennial (2000, 1996, 1992).
Notable awards include the 2003 Spīdolas Award and multiple first-place prizes in public memorial design competitions. His works are held in collections such as the Latvian National Museum of Art and the Katzow Sculpture Park (Germany).
