Dr. Gleb Tcheslavski is an Associate Professor in the Phillip M. Drayer Department of Electrical Engineering at Lamar University (Beaumont, TX), where he has taught since 2007. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech and dual degrees from Bauman Moscow State Technical University. His academic trajectory includes roles as Assistant Professor (2008-2014) and Visiting Assistant Professor (2007-2008).
Research Focus: Dr. Tcheslavski leads the Applied DSP Research Laboratory, specializing in EEG analysis for biomedical and cognitive applications. Core research areas include:
- EEG-based diagnosis of neurological disorders (alcohol dependence, autism)
- Biomedical signal processing for visual/auditory perception studies
- EEG biometrics and human-computer interaction
- Transportation safety using virtual reality and neural response analysis
