Dr. Gizachew Tiruneh is an Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Central Arkansas and serves as Director of the International Studies Program. His academic work focuses on political stability in Africa, democratization processes, and the intersection of history and political theory.
- Ph.D. in Political Science from Binghamton University (SUNY, 2001)
- M.B.A. in Computer Information Systems from Baruch College (CUNY, 1993)
- B.A. in Finance and Investments from Baruch College (CUNY, 1988)
His research spans comparative politics, international relations, and social revolutions, with a particular emphasis on African and Middle Eastern politics. He has also contributed to debates on Ethiopian history through analyses of the Kebra Nagast and the Solomonic Dynasty.
