Giuseppe Paparella is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Foresight and Scenario Planning - East Asia at the Oxford-Hyundai Motor Group Foresight Centre, part of the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. His research focuses on foreign policy decision-making and strategic interactions in the Asia Pacific, combining qualitative methods like historical analysis, scenario planning, and process-tracing.

- PhD in Security Studies (King’s College London, 2021)
- MSc in International Relations (LSE)
- Academic degrees from University of Bologna and University of Bari (Italy)
His current work examines how nationalist beliefs shape U.S. foreign policy in the Asia Pacific, culminating in his upcoming monograph Abiding Influence (Stanford University Press, 2025). He has held research and teaching roles at institutions including LSE, William & Mary, George Washington University, and Stanford.
Giuseppe is affiliated with the Bridging the Gap network and advocates interdisciplinary collaboration in policy and scholarly initiatives.
