Giuseppe Luciano is a Full Professor of Special Zootechnics at the Department of Agriculture, Food and Environment, University of Catania, Italy. He focuses on improving ruminant meat and milk quality through feeding strategies with natural bioactive compounds, studying their effects on lipid metabolism and oxidative stability.
Education:
- Ph.D. in Animal Production Sciences, University of Catania (2011)
- Graduate in Tropical and Subtropical Agricultural Sciences, University of Catania (2006, 110/110 cum laude)
His research explores:
- Feeding ruminants with bioactive compounds to enhance product quality
- Oxidative stability of meat through dietary interventions
- Authentication of animal feeding systems via specific food markers
International collaborations include institutions in Ireland, Morocco, Tunisia, USA, and France. He coordinates the national project RE-F-RESH (PRIN 2022) and participates in AGRITECH (PNRR) as Task Leader.
