Giulia Rossello is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics and Management, University of Pisa. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Maastricht University's School of Business and Economics, where she was a research fellow at UNU-MERIT. Her research integrates computer science techniques, network analysis, and econometrics to explore knowledge ecosystems, worker behavior, and technological impacts. She has been a visiting researcher at Stellenbosch University and taught Data Science at Maastricht University. Currently, she contributes to the Horizon project REBALANCE, examining corporate behavior's effects on democracy. Her work spans Scientometrics, Research in Higher Education, and other journals.
Research interests bridge economics of knowledge, science studies, and sociology. She analyzes how digital tools and experimental methods inform policy and societal challenges. Projects include understanding scholarly productivity, lobbying influences on academic perceptions, and disability access treaties.
Giulia’s expertise includes global academic networks, policy effects on research, and equity in education. She collaborates with international institutions and has advised on sustainable development projects.
