معرفی
Dr. Giulia Orlando is a Leukaemia UK John Goldman Fellow at the University of Oxford, focusing on hematopoietic stem cell biology and cancer genetics. She graduated from the University of Turin in 2010 and earned her DPhil at Oxford in 2014. Her postdoctoral work at The Institute of Cancer Research explored regulatory element variations in cancer gene regulation.
- University of Turin (2010)
- DPhil, University of Oxford (2014)
Her research investigates aberrant gene regulation in juvenile myelomonocytic leukemia (JMML), specifically how RAS pathway mutations alter epigenetic landscapes. This work employs cutting-edge technologies to dissect transcriptional networks and identify therapeutic targets.
Recent publications highlight expertise in noncoding mutations, capture Hi-C methodology, and genomic risk loci across multiple cancers including colorectal cancer, multiple myeloma, and lymphomas. Her work spans epigenetic mechanisms, chromatin interactions, and targeted therapy development.
Scientific Recognition:
- Leukaemia UK John Goldman Fellowship
She has co-authored influential papers in journals like Nature Genetics, Nature Communications, and Blood Advances, with particular emphasis on gene regulatory networks and chromatin biology in hematologic malignancies.
