Dr. Giulia Achilli is a Lecturer in Accounting at Royal Holloway University of London and Director of the Centre for Critical and Historical Research on Organisation and Society (CHRONOS). Her interdisciplinary research integrates accounting, organization studies, sociology, and approaches from the arts and philosophy. She holds a BSc, MSc, and PhD in Accounting, alongside drama studies and acting experience. Her work focuses on qualitative methods, exploring accounting and accountability practices within social, historical, and cultural contexts.

Research Interests: Giulia examines the interplay between accounting practices and broader societal issues, including corporate governance, sustainability, and the role of arts in organizational accountability. Activities: She serves as an editor for Accounting, Auditing and Accountability Journal and Meditari Accountancy Research, delivers invited talks on topics like corporate reporting and artistic inclusivity, and is an External Examiner for the University of Edinburgh’s MSc in Accounting & Finance.
Labs/Teams: Leads CHRONOS and collaborates with the Centre for Research into Sustainability.
