Giselle Hillyer is an Assistant Professor of Violin and Lecturer of Violin and Viola at the Lionel Hampton School of Music, University of Idaho, within the College of Letters, Arts and Social Sciences. She is an active performer and educator with international experience.

Her research and professional interests focus on violin and viola performance, chamber music, orchestral performance, and music pedagogy, particularly through the Suzuki method. She is a certified Suzuki teacher and mentors students from beginner to college level, many of whom have achieved recognition in competitions and festivals.
Although no formal list of publications is provided, her creative work includes the album Sonatas and Images, recorded with pianist Roger McVey and released on Albany Records. Her performance career includes solos and recitals across North America, New Zealand, Mexico, and New Caledonia, as well as orchestral engagements with prominent ensembles.
She previously served as a tenured professor at Mercer University and taught at the University of Wisconsin River Falls before joining the University of Idaho in 2013. She is co-concertmaster of the Washington-Idaho Symphony and was a member of Trio St. Croix (2006–2013).
