Dr. Giorgio Motta is a Lecturer in the Department of Economics at Lancaster University, affiliated with the Lancaster University Management School. His research focuses on the interaction between monetary and fiscal policy in DSGE models of the business cycle. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Milano-Bicocca (2010) and a MSc in Economics from the University of Edinburgh (2006).
His research interests include Macroeconomics, Monetary Economics, and Fiscal Policy, with a focus on policy interactions and business cycle analysis. He supervises PhD students in these areas and has published in journals such as Macroeconomic Dynamics and Journal of Money, Credit and Banking.
He participates in conferences including the Dynare Conference and the International Conference on Macroeconomics and International Finance. He is affiliated with the Centre for Financial Econometrics, Asset Markets and Macroeconomic Policy, and the Macroeconomics and Financial Markets research group.
