Lorenza Rossi

Professor Lorenza Rossi holds the Chair in Macroeconomics and serves as Research Director at the Department of Economics, Lancaster University Management School (LUMS). She earned her PhD from the University of Rome 'Tor Vergata'. Her research focuses on macroeconomics, monetary economics, and firm dynamics, with emphasis on models involving firm heterogeneity, uncertainty shocks, and inflation expectations. She serves as Associate Editor for the Journal of Macroeconomics and Italian Economic Journal, and is part of the Scientific Committee of the Italian Parliamentary Budget Office and T2M.

Her research explores theoretical frameworks and empirical VAR analysis to study business cycle phenomena. Recent work examines nonlinear policy responses to de-anchored inflation expectations and the macroeconomic effects of uncertainty shocks. She has supervised PhD students in DSGE models, monetary-fiscal policy interactions, and labor market frictions.

Her publications span top journals including European Economic Review, Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, and Macroeconomic Dynamics. She actively participates in international conferences and workshops on structural macroeconomic modeling and policy analysis.
