Giorgio Malet is a Lecturer at ETH Zurich's Department of Humanities, Social and Political Sciences, affiliated with the European Politics Research Group and an SNSF Ambizione Fellow. He holds a doctorate from the European University Institute, with visiting positions at UC Berkeley and the London School of Economics during his PhD. His research focuses on public opinion dynamics, democratic representation in multilevel governance, and the domestic politics of European integration. Notable projects include investigating EU policy impacts on transnational authority support, funded by the SNSF Ambizione Grant.
Education: PhD in European Politics (European University Institute), followed by postdoctoral research at the University of Zurich on an ERC-funded project. Teaching includes courses on European politics at ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich.
Research Awards: Recipient of the SNSF Ambizione Grant and the 2022 EUSA Best Conference Paper Award. His work appears in journals such as Comparative Political Studies and Journal of European Public Policy.
