Gints Peleckis

Gints Peleckis serves as an Acting Researcher and Ph.D. student in the Department of Health Psychology and Paedagogy at Riga Stradins University, focusing on innovative interventions for adolescent athletes. His research integrates biofeedback, eye tracking, and mixed reality systems to enhance cognitive function and stress management in simulated competitive environments.

His expertise spans health psychology, cognitive psychology, and sports science with emphasis on adolescent development. Current work investigates breathing techniques and virtual reality applications to improve cognitive capacity and athletic performance, directly contributing to UN Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being).

Recent publications analyze non-pharmacological approaches for cognitive enhancement in youth sports, revealing growing interdisciplinary trends combining physiology, psychology, and immersive technologies. These scoping reviews establish foundational frameworks for technology-assisted stress reduction protocols in athletic training.
