Gino Canlas is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Classical Studies at the University of Western Ontario. He holds a BA and MA from the University of British Columbia and a PhD from the University of Alberta. His research focuses on Greek archaeology, ancient Thessaly, and digital approaches to religious studies.

His forthcoming publications include Sacred Space and Community Identity in Ancient Thessaly (Brill) and a co-edited volume on Insiders and Outsiders in Ancient Thessaly (Archaeopress). Recent articles analyze regional identities in Phthiotis and material expressions of cults in Perrhaibia across antiquity.
