Gina Netto is Professor in International Migration and Racial Justice at Heriot-Watt University's School of Energy, Geoscience, Infrastructure and Society and The Urban Institute. She leads research on digitalization impacts through the UKRI-funded PRIME project.
Research examines access and outcomes in housing, health services, social care, labor markets, and creative industries for marginalized communities. Current projects focus on digital exclusion among ethnic minorities and climate migration health impacts.
As Commissioner on the Lancet Commission for Health, Migration and Climate Change, she addresses climate impacts on migrant health. Publications focus on health equity, housing access, and digital service barriers.
