Dr. Gina Kraft is an Associate Professor of Exercise Science at Indiana Tech, located within the College of Arts and Sciences. She holds a PhD in Health and Human Performance (Exercise Physiology emphasis) from Oklahoma State University, an MS in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of Oklahoma, and a BS in Exercise Science from Oklahoma Baptist University. Her research focuses on exercise physiology, sports technology validation, and childhood fitness interventions. She teaches courses such as Clinical Exercise Physiology and Fitness Assessment in Exercise Science.
Professional experience includes a tenure as Associate Professor of Kinesiology and Rehabilitation Science at Arkansas Tech University (2015–2024) and Assistant Professor of Kinesiology at Oklahoma Baptist University (2001–2015). She is a certified Athletic Trainer (since 2003) and National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (since 2011), serving as NSCA Arkansas State Director from 2021 to 2024.
Her publications emphasize wearable technology validation (e.g., Garmin and Polar devices) and the impact of technology on physical activity in children. Recent studies include the FACTS initiative linking fitness and academics via technology.
