Gillian Phua is a Lecturer in Pharmacy Practice at the University of Swansea, affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Sciences and the Pharmacy department. She is a registered pharmacist in Malaysia and holds a Fellowship from the Higher Education Academy UK.
Her expertise spans clinical pharmacy, pharmacy education, and endothelial cell biology. Teaching focuses include obstetrics/gynaecology, gynaecologic oncology, medication safety, and clinical risk management. She has over 9 years of hospital pharmacy experience in Malaysia, specializing in gynaecological oncology and anticoagulant management, and led medication safety committees at hospital and state levels.

Notable contributions include studies on pharmacist intern satisfaction in Malaysia and emergency department medication supply.
