Gilles Pisier is the A.G. and M.E. Owen Chair and Distinguished Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Texas A&M University, affiliated with the College of Arts & Sciences. His research focuses on functional analysis, probability theory, harmonic analysis, and operator theory, with significant contributions to C*-algebras and operator spaces.
