Gilles HUTEAU

Gilles HUTEAU is a Professor at the School of Advanced Studies in Public Health (EHESP), affiliated with the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences. He joined EHESP on October 1, 2012, contributing to research and teaching in social protection policies, social policies, and health policies.

His research focuses on interdisciplinary legal studies, particularly the obligations of health system users, care pathways and insurance coverage, legal frameworks for doctor-patient relationships, work incapacity compensation, and disability litigation. His work aligns with the Law and Social Change Laboratory (UMR-CNRS No. 6297) at the University of Nantes.

Gilles HUTEAU has held significant roles in the social security sector, including director of a health insurance fund, and serves as expert-referent for health insurance issues in the Lamy encyclopedia.
