Dr Gill Park is a Lecturer in Contemporary Art and Curating at the School of Fine Art, History of Art and Cultural Studies, University of Leeds. She specializes in feminist interventions in art and exhibition histories, British photography from the 1980s onward, contemporary curatorial practices, and intersections of gender, race, and class in art. As a former Director of Pavilion (2012–2017), she has extensive curatorial experience producing new works with artists globally.

Her research focuses on the role of lens-based media in feminist discourses since the 1980s, addressing lived experiences of sexism and theoretical questions of representation. She explores curatorial modalities engaging with social issues locally and globally, including collaborative projects through the platform Working Images with Dr Amy Charlesworth (Open University).
From 2013–2015, she led the Creative Europe project Retreating Ahead: Curatorial and Artistic Explorations in partnership with CAC Vilnius (Lithuania) and Kunstverein Hamburg Bahnhof (Germany). Her teaching spans contemporary art and exhibition histories at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, with a focus on History of Art and Art Gallery & Museum Studies.
Dr Park serves as a Trustee of Pavilion and a peer reviewer for the journal Museum & Society. She joined the University of Leeds in 2018 after lecturing roles at the University of Manchester and Newcastle University. Current postgraduate researcher under her supervision: Tom Vickery.
