Gil Omenn is a Professor of Computational Medicine & Bioinformatics at the University of Michigan, with additional appointments in Internal Medicine, Human Genetics, and Public Health. He previously served as Executive Vice President for Medical Affairs at UM (1997-2002) and Dean of the University of Washington School of Public Health (1982-1997). A White House Fellow and National Academy of Medicine member, he leads the global Human Proteome Project (HPP) under HUPO.
