Dr. Gideon Boadu is a Lecturer in Secondary Curriculum & Pedagogy Education at RMIT University's School of Education. He leads programs such as the Master of Teaching Practice (Primary/Secondary Education) and focuses on history curricula, public histories, and digital pedagogies. His research explores historical consciousness, AI integration in education, and career-changer teacher training. Dr. Boadu holds editorial roles at journals like History Education Research Journal and co-convenes the Critical Forest Collaboratory.
His research emphasizes under-researched contexts in history education, including Ghanaian curriculum analysis and youth engagement with historical narratives. He has published widely, with a focus on African historiography and innovative teaching methodologies. Dr. Boadu advocates for inclusive education policies and collaborates internationally on projects like historical-democratic consciousness intersections.
