Gianni Piantini is an Adjunct Professor of Academic Success at the Benjamin L. Crump College of Law, St. Thomas University. She specializes in immigration law, particularly business immigration and employment-based visas for diverse clients, including entertainers, athletes, and entrepreneurs. Gianni holds a B.A. in Psychology (cum laude, Florida International University, 2016) and a J.D. (summa cum laude, valedictorian, St. Thomas University College of Law, 2020).
Her research focuses on constitutional law and immigration enforcement, as exemplified by her published article on Fourth Amendment implications of ICE workplace raids. Gianni has received multiple academic accolades, including CALI Excellence Awards and an Excellence in Intellectual Property Award.
She has served as a judicial intern at the Third District Court of Appeal of Florida, a law clerk in the U.S. Attorney’s Office Narcotics Division, and held leadership roles in student organizations such as the St. Thomas Law Review, Immigration Law Students Association, and Intellectual Property and Cyber Law Society. Gianni currently teaches Legal Methods to 2L and 3L students.
