Gianluigi Vernasca

Professor Gianluigi Vernasca is a faculty member in the Department of Economics at the University of Essex, where he has been since September 2006. He holds a PhD from the University of Warwick and is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. His research focuses on industrial organization and macroeconomics, and he has co-authored a textbook titled 'Economics' (2014) with McGraw-Hill. Professor Vernasca currently teaches 'Introduction to Economics' (EC111) and 'International Trade Institutions and Policy' (EC246). He previously taught at the University of York and the University of Pavia. Academic support is available via Zoom by appointment.
