Gian Biagio Conte

Gian Biagio Conte is an Italian scholar of Classics, holding the rank of Professor of Latin Literature at the University of Pisa and Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa. His academic career spans over four decades, with key appointments including Full Professor roles at the University of Siena (1971-1976) and University of Pisa (1976-2013), alongside visiting professorships at Princeton University, Stanford University, and the University of Cambridge. He is a leading figure in Latin literary analysis, narrative theory, and ancient textual criticism.
