Marcello Calogero is an Assistant Professor (fixed-term) in the Department of Arts at the University of Bologna, specializing in the History of Modern Art (ARTE-01/B). He holds an M.A. (2016) and Ph.D. (2022) in Art History from the Scuola Normale Superiore, Pisa, and obtained the ASN in 2024. His professional experience includes fellowships at the Metropolitan Museum of Art (2019–2020) and the Morgan Library and Museum (2020–2021), as well as a research role at the Fondazione Federico Zeri - University of Bologna (2022–2023).

He teaches courses such as Comparative History of Art in Europe.
