Gergely Katona is a Professor of Biochemistry at the University of Gothenburg and a LINXS Fellow actively contributing to the Integrative Structural Biology Working Group with a focus on Time-Resolved studies. His research bridges structural biology, biophysics, and computational science through interdisciplinary neutron and X-ray methodologies.
His primary research focuses on:
- X-ray crystallography and protein structure formation mechanisms
- Terahertz dynamics in biological systems
- Development of advanced time-resolved scattering techniques
- Machine learning applications for biological data analysis
As a LINXS community member, he drives innovation in integrating physical sciences with life sciences to address fundamental biological questions through cutting-edge experimental and computational approaches.
