Gerald Isbell

Gerald Isbell is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Division of Digestive and Liver Diseases. He joined the faculty in 2022. His clinical interests focus on gastrointestinal cancer screening, intestinal cancer prevention, and inflammatory bowel disease.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree (cum laude) from Wake Forest University
• M.D. from Wake Forest University
• Internal Medicine Residency at Baylor College of Medicine
• Gastrointestinal Oncology Fellowship at UT MD Anderson

• Cum Laude graduate from Wake Forest University
• American Board of Internal Medicine Certification in Gastroenterology

Dr. Isbell is affiliated with the Texas Medical Association and Dallas County Medical Society. Outside academia, he enjoys backpacking, farming, and ranching.
