Shawn Shah

Shawn Shah, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center, affiliated with the Division of Digestive and Liver Diseases. He joined the faculty in 2020 and is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in gastroenterology.

• Bachelor's in Microbiology/Immunology and Economics (magna cum laude) from University of Miami
• M.D. from Florida State University College of Medicine
• Internal Medicine Residency: Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center
• Fellowships: Gastroenterology/Hepatology and Advanced Endoscopy (New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center)

Research Interests: Focuses on bariatric endoscopy complications, early gastrointestinal neoplasia management, and novel endoscopic techniques. His work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national meetings.

Clinical Expertise: Advanced endoscopy, pancreaticobiliary disease, and endoscopic management of gastrointestinal neoplasms.

Professional Involvement: Active member of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, American Gastroenterological Association, and American College of Gastroenterology.
