Gerald Futschek is a retired Professor at Technische Universität Wien, affiliated with the Faculty of Informatics and the Department of Software Engineering. His primary roles include advancing e-Learning, informatics didactics, and software verification. He has been deeply involved in educational initiatives such as the Bebras Computational Thinking Challenge and the Biber der Informatik contest, aimed at fostering computational thinking skills among students.

- Teaching: Offers research seminars for PhD students and contributes to introductory programming MOOCs.
