Geovanny E. Martinez serves as a Senior Lecturing Fellow at Duke University School of Law and Executive Director of the Center on Law, Race and Policy (CLRP), where he spearheads initiatives for racial equity and systemic legal reform. Under his leadership, CLRP secured critical funding including a Social Science Research Institute Grant, Documentary Studies Grant, and Office of Faculty Advancement Seed Grant.
His academic foundation includes:
- Georgetown University (undergraduate)
- Howard University School of Law (J.D.), where he served as research assistant to Dean Kurt L. Schmoke
Martinez's scholarly focus bridges criminal justice ethics with structural racial reform, evidenced by pioneering courses like Police Accountability—one of the nation's first—and Race and the Legal Profession.
