Georgina Virgo

Dr. Georgina Virgo is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the School of Physics, Chemistry and Earth Sciences, Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology, University of Adelaide. She holds a PhD in Geoscience (2023) from the Australian School of Petroleum and Energy Resources and completed her Bachelor of Science (First Class Honours) at the same university in 2017.

• Research Focus: Neoproterozoic Era palaeoenvironmental reconstructions using sedimentology, isotope geochemistry, and basin analysis
• Current Role: Lecturer in Sedimentary Geology II (second-year BSc course)
• Fieldwork Location: Flinders Ranges, South Australia

Her work examines the interplay of climatic shifts, tectonic changes, and biological evolution during one of Earth's most transformative geological periods.
