معرفی
Dr. Georgie Bennett is a geomorphologist studying earth-surface dynamics and hazards at the University of Exeter's Department of Geography. Her research combines remote sensing, fieldwork, and numerical modeling to investigate landslides, sediment transport, and river dynamics in mountainous regions. She leads multiple international projects including BOULDER (Nepal landslide resilience) and SCaRP (Philippines landslide hazards).
Her research interests span landslide preconditioning factors, wood-sediment interactions in rivers, climate change impacts on mass movements, and coastal cliff erosion processes. She supervises PhD students working on lahar modeling, bedload transport, and landslide triggers.
Dr. Bennett employs innovative techniques including smart boulder sensors, RFID tracers, and drone-based mapping to study geomorphic processes. Her work has applications in disaster risk reduction and landscape management.
