معرفی
Professor Alexander Densmore is a faculty member in the Department of Geography at Durham University. His research focuses on mountain building processes, earthquake-triggered landslides, and sediment transfer systems, with fieldwork conducted in Nepal, China, and the Himalayas. Contact: a.l.densmore@durham.ac.uk.
His work integrates numerical modeling with field studies to understand tectonic-erosion interactions, post-earthquake sediment dynamics, and multi-hazard chains. Recent publications address landslide susceptibility in Nepal, carbon export from earthquake-affected regions, and satellite-based hazard monitoring.
Key collaborators include researchers from Trinity College Dublin, ETH Zurich, and University of California, Santa Cruz. His supervision includes PhD student Eliot Weir. Projects like Sajag-Nepal emphasize science-based disaster preparedness.
