George Neville is a Researcher in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Bath, affiliated with the Centre for Sustainable Chemical Technologies (CSCT) and Centre for Integrated Materials, Processes & Structures (IMPS). He holds a PhD in Sustainable Chemical Technologies (2022), an MRes in Films, Foams & Monoliths (2019), and an MChem in Chemistry (2018).
- PhD: Surface-Tethered SMALPs for Membrane Protein Applications (CSCT, 2019–2022)
- MRes: Hydrogen Adsorbent Composites (CSCT, 2018–2019)
- MChem: Fluorescent Polymers in SMALPs (University of Bath, 2014–2018)
His research focuses on solid-state hydrogen storage for next-gen aircraft (ZENITH project), porous nanomaterials, and membrane protein studies. Key contributions include work on polymer end-group effects, deep eutectic solvents, and lipid nanodiscs. He also published a commentary on dyspraxia in the Biochemist.
Collaborations span institutions globally, with research contributing to UN SDGs on climate action and sustainable innovation.
