George Bendo

George Bendo is a Research Fellow in the Astronomy and Astrophysics Theory Group. His research spans two primary areas: astronomy, focusing on interstellar dust and star formation in nearby and distant galaxies, and autism research, investigating sensory processing challenges in autistic individuals. He contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals through his work on understanding galaxy evolution and neurodiversity.

Research Interests:

• Astronomy: Studies of radio-to-submillimetre spectral energy distributions, multiwavelength star formation tracers, and magnetic fields in high-redshift galaxies.
• Autism: Examining listening difficulties and temperature responsivity in autistic individuals.

Recent Work Trends: His articles explore topics like dust emissivity in infrared-bright galaxies, magnetic fields in distant galaxies, and speech perception challenges in autism. Collaborations include the z-GAL and BEARS surveys, leveraging ALMA and NOEMA telescopes.
