George Arhonditsis is a Professor and Vice Dean of Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies at the Department of Physical & Environmental Sciences, University of Toronto Scarborough. His research focuses on aquatic biogeochemical modeling, plankton ecology, Bayesian inference, and environmental management. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of the Aegean and has received prestigious awards including the Elsevier Best Paper Award (2012 & 2014) and the Ontario Early Researcher Award (2009).
Research Interests include ecosystem modeling, climate impacts on freshwater systems, nutrient dynamics, and harmful algal blooms.
