Professor Geoffrey Wood holds a Professorship in Management and Strategy & Organisation at the University of Bath, UK, and concurrently serves as DanCap Private Equity Chair and Professor at Western University, Canada. He has held previous academic leadership roles, including Dean at Essex Business School and Professor at Warwick Business School. His research focuses on institutional contexts, corporate governance, firm finance, and work-employment dynamics. He has authored over 220 peer-reviewed articles, with an H-index of 52, and edited 20 books. His honorary positions include roles at Trinity College, Griffith University, and Monash University. He is Editor in Chief of Academy of Management Perspectives and Human Resource Management Journal, and co-chairs the BAM Finance Special Interest Group.
Education: PhD in Commerce from Rhodes University (1995).
Research interests span international business, comparative political economy, and emerging markets.
