Geoffrey Winthrop-Young is a Professor in the Department of Central, Eastern, and Northern European Studies at the University of British Columbia (UBC), Faculty of Arts. He specializes in German media theory, media archaeology, and cultural techniques, with additional expertise in Nordic and German studies. His career includes visiting roles at Cornell University, the University of Chicago, and the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar.
