Genevieve Bassellier is an Associate Professor of Information Systems and Vice-Dean, Programs at McGill University's Faculty of Management. She holds a PhD from the Sauder School of Business (University of British Columbia), an MSc from HEC Montréal, and a BCom from HEC Montréal. Her research focuses on IT management, exploring social factors, knowledge, and emotions influencing IT adoption and implementation. She has served on editorial boards, including Journal of Management Information Systems, and chaired major conferences like ICIS and AMCIS. Her work addresses digital goods pricing, platform innovation, and IT competence in organizations.
Dr. Bassellier has secured significant grants, including SSHRC and FQRSC funding for projects on IT self-concept, digital piracy dissuasion, and IT-business partnerships. She teaches across undergraduate, MBA, and PhD programs and has mentored doctoral students at ICIS and AMCIS. Her research spans digital platforms, technology strategy, and the socio-technical aspects of IT use.
