Gediminas Gasparavičius is Associate Professor of Art History at the University of Akron's Mary Schiller Myers School of Art. He teaches modern/contemporary art, art theory, and global art history surveys. His research examines intersections of contemporary art, politics, and subversive mimicry.
Gasparavičius co-edits 'Walking with the Enemy: The Art of Subversive Mimicry in the Post-Truth Era' and has presented at CAA, ASEEES, and AAH conferences. He holds a PhD from Stony Brook University and previously taught at College of the Holy Cross.
