Gavin Paul is a Lecturer in English and Arts One at the University of British Columbia, specializing in Shakespeare and early modern drama. His work intersects editorial practice, textual theory, and performance history.
Education:
- B.A. in English Literature, University of Lethbridge
- Ph.D. in English Literature, University of British Columbia
Research focuses on Shakespearean textual transmission, performance reception, and editorial methodologies. He currently co-edits the Internet Shakespeare Edition of Macbeth and explores comic literature and graphic novels.
His publications examine narrative forms, cultural memory, and textual-material relationships across historical and contemporary contexts.
