Gavin Heron is a Lecturer at the University of Strathclyde's School of Social Work and Social Policy. He holds a PhD (2000) and has been a practice teacher since 1996. His role includes coordinating postgraduate research and teaching on undergraduate/postgraduate social work courses. He focuses on social work education, student assessment, feedback practices, and issues of race and equality.
