Gavin Duffy

Gavin Duffy is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Social Sciences, Education and Social Work at Queen's University Belfast. His research focuses on education policy, school exclusion, educational leadership, and education in divided/custodial settings. He leads projects such as 'The Political Economies of School Exclusion' (2020–present) and contributed to the 'Network for Education in Divided Societies' (2019–2021).

Key research interests include the intersection of policy and legal frameworks in education, community cohesion in urban contexts, and comparative analysis of UK education systems. His work highlights disparities in school exclusion practices and explores mechanisms for inclusive education.
