Dr. Gaston Ngochembo is a Lecturer in Project Management and Entrepreneurship at De Montfort University, within the School of Leadership, Management and Marketing, Faculty of Business and Law. He brings over 15 years of combined academic and practical experience in entrepreneurship, project management, and agricultural development. His work spans academia, international development, and enterprise innovation, with a strong regional focus on Africa.

Dr. Ngochembo’s research centers on the intersection of project management, entrepreneurial leadership, and sustainable development, with a focus on agricultural value chains and innovation in emerging markets. His work investigates how ethical leadership and large-scale entrepreneurial projects can transform rural economies, particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa. He is deeply engaged in innovation adoption, technology transfer, and policy impacts in agribusiness.
The recent publications reflect a consistent trend in analyzing agricultural megaprojects, leadership in development, and the performance of value chain actors in Cameroon. His work combines empirical field research with policy analysis, often focusing on rice farming systems, microfinance, and NGO interventions. Dr. Ngochembo has served as a consultant for international organizations such as UNDP, Oxfam Novib, MDF Global, and the Ministry of SMEs in Cameroon, providing expertise in business plan development, feasibility assessment, and entrepreneurial capacity building. He has led training programs in Mali and Cameroon, including hackathon coaching for agri-tech startups. He is also the co-founder of AgriDynamic and E-Hub Incubation, enterprises dedicated to smart agro-enterprise development. His advisory and grant-related work emphasizes practical impact, innovation diffusion, and inclusive growth.
He is actively involved in professional networks, including participation as a keynote speaker at the DAAD conference in 2023 on returning alumni and agricultural development in Cameroon. His ORCID profile is registered, reflecting his commitment to scholarly visibility and research integrity.
