Gary W. Davis is a Senior Lecturer in American Sign Language (ASL) at the Department of Educational Psychology, University of Oklahoma. He previously served as an Associate Professor in the Interpreter Training Program at Oklahoma State University – OKC for 17 years. His professional focus centers on promoting ASL recognition as a natural language and advancing Deaf cultural awareness.

- M.S. in Rehabilitation Counseling for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing from Rehabilitation Research and Training Center, Little Rock, Arkansas
- B.A. in Counseling with emphasis on Services to the Deaf from East Central University
