Ronda Ann Bryan, Ed.D., is a Lecturer in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Mississippi, affiliated with the School of Applied Sciences. She serves as faculty advisor for the student sign language organization Handband. Her office is located in NE1555 South Oxford Center, with regular office hours on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Dr. Bryan holds a B.A. in Psychology from Saint Leo University (1992) and an M.A. in Higher Education from the University of Mississippi (2011). She completed her doctoral dissertation on 'Experiences of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Mississippi Community College Students.'
Her research focuses on post-secondary educational experiences of deaf and hard of hearing students and evidence-based practices in American Sign Language (ASL) instruction. She is a certified interpreter registered with The Mississippi Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (MRID), previously serving as its Vice President.
Bryan teaches foundational ASL courses including ASL 111 (Beginning American Sign Language) and ASL 211 (Intermediate American Sign Language).
