Dr. Gary Robinson is a Senior Lecturer in Archaeology at Bangor University's School of History, Law and Social Sciences. His research focuses on prehistoric maritime and coastal communities in western Britain and Ireland, with a particular emphasis on island landscapes and cultural heritage. He holds a PhD from University College London's Institute of Archaeology (2006), where his thesis explored the prehistoric archaeology of the Isles of Scilly. Robinson has led projects such as the Southern Kintyre Project and the Frongoch internment camp excavations, contributing to understanding Irish Sea interactions and landscape adaptation. He has supervised PhD students and co-edited key works, including At Home on the Waves. His recent work integrates climate change impacts on cultural heritage.
