Gary Manning Jr. is a Professor of New Testament Language and Literature at Talbot School of Theology, Biola University, where he also serves as Director of the Master of Divinity program. He holds a Ph.D. from Fuller Theological Seminary, an M.Div. from Talbot School of Theology, and a B.Ed. from the University of Hawaii.

Research Interests include literary approaches to biblical texts, the Gospel of John, the Synoptic Gospels, and the use of the Old Testament in the New Testament. His work bridges theological depth with historical analysis of the Second Temple Period.
